Coupon Creation (Woocommerce)

1. Types of WooCommerce Coupons

WooCommerce supports four main types:

  • Percentage Discount: e.g., 20% off the entire cart.
  • Fixed Cart Discount: e.g., 10 off the total order.
  • Fixed Product Discount: e.g., 5 off specific products.
  • Free Shipping: Removes shipping costs when conditions are met.

2. Steps to Create a Coupon

  1. Navigate to Marketing → Coupons → Add New Coupon
  2. Enter Coupon Code
    • Create your own or click Generate coupon code.
  3. Add Description
     (optional, for internal use).
  4. Configure Coupon Data
    • General Tab
      • Discount type (percentage, fixed cart, fixed product).
      • Coupon amount (e.g., 10 for 10% or 10).
      • Enable Free Shipping if needed.
      • Set Expiration Date.
    • Usage Restrictions
      • Minimum/maximum spend.
      • Individual use only (cannot combine with other coupons).
      • Exclude sale items.
      • Include/exclude products, categories, or brands.
      • Restrict by customer email (wildcards allowed, e.g., *@gmail.com).
    • Usage Limits
      • Limit per coupon (total uses).
      • Limit per user.
      • Limit to X items (if product-specific).
  5. Click Publish.
