How to Edit a Page Using Elementor

This guide explains how to make simple changes to any page built with Elementor (text, images, buttons) and how to update a products section.

1. Log in and open the page in Elementor

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

  2. Go to Pages → All Pages.

  3. Find the page you want to edit.

  4. Hover over it and click Edit with Elementor.

  5. The page will open with:

    • Your page preview on the right

    • The Elementor panel on the left (widgets & settings)

2. Editing text (titles, paragraphs, lists)

  1. In the page preview, click on the text or heading you want to change.

  2. The left panel will change to Edit Heading or Edit Text Editor.

  3. Under the Content tab, edit the text in the box.

  4. Use the toolbar (bold, italic, bullet points, alignment) if needed.

3. Editing images

  1. Click on the image you want to change in the page preview.

  2. The left panel will show Edit Image.

  3. Click the Choose Image (or image thumbnail) under the Content tab.

  4. Select an image from the Media Library or upload a new one.

  5. Click Insert Media.

  6. Optionally adjust Image Size, Alignment, or Link in the same panel.

4. Editing buttons and links

  1. Click on the button you want to edit.

  2. In the left panel under Content:

    • Change the Text (what appears on the button)

    • Set the Link (URL or page)

  3. If you want the link to open in a new tab, click the cog icon next to the link and enable Open in new window.

5. Editing a products section (products widget)

Use this when you see a section with multiple products (grid or carousel) that needs updating.

  1. In the page preview, click once inside the products grid (any product card).

  2. Make sure the left panel shows Edit Products (grid or carousel).

    • If you don’t see this, click again on a product image or title until this widget is selected.

  3. In the left panel go to the Content → General section.

  4. Check the Data source (for manual selection usually set to List of IDs).

  5. Under Include only, you can:

    • Remove products by clicking the X next to a product

    • Add new products by typing their name and selecting them from the dropdown

  6. Adjust Order by, Query type, or Hide out of stock products if needed.

  7. The preview on the right will update to show the new products.

6. Save your changes

  1. When you finish editing, click the Update button at the bottom of the Elementor panel.

  2. Wait until the button turns grey and shows Updated.

  3. Visit the page on the front-end (public site) and refresh to confirm everything looks correct.

  4. If you use a caching plugin or CDN, clear the cache so the latest changes are visible.

You can repeat these steps for any page built with Elementor: open the page, click the element you want to change, edit it from the left panel, and then click Update.
