How to Replace Product Images from Powersoft365

When you want to update or replace product images in your e-shop, the Powersoft365 plugin lets you do this easily by syncing your images from Azure to WordPress.

📌 Before You Begin

All product images must be uploaded or replaced in your Azure storage first. The plugin pulls the updated images from there during the sync.


🪄 Step-by-Step Process to Replace an Image

  1. Replace the image in Azure

    • Upload the new image in Azure storage using the exact same name as the one you want to replace, or update it directly in your Azure product folder.

  2. Remove old images from WordPress

    • Go to your WordPress Dashboard.

    • From the sidebar, select Powersoft Sync.

    • In the Sync Console, click Remove Images.

    • This action will find any unused or outdated images in your WordPress media library (images not attached to products anymore) and delete them.
      (This should always be the first step.)

  3. Sync the new images

    • Once the old images are removed, click Sync Images.

    • The plugin will pull the latest images from Azure and attach them to the corresponding products in your e-shop.
      (This should always be done after removing the images.)



🧼 What Happens Behind the Scenes

  • Remove Images: Scans your media library for old product images that no longer match a product and deletes them to keep your store clean.

  • Sync Images: Finds the updated images in Azure and attaches them to the correct product in your WooCommerce store.


⚠️ Important Notes

  • Always follow the Remove → Sync order to avoid duplicates or caching issues.

  • Make sure your product codes and image names in Azure match correctly, or the sync will skip the product.

  • If the new image doesn’t appear right away, try clearing your site cache or refreshing the product page.
